Kingsley Coman Set to Sign for Al Nassr in €30 Million Transfer

Kingsley Coman will join Al Nassr on a three-year deal, ending his successful eight-year spell at Bayern Munich. The French winger is expected to finalize the move today after Bayern and Al Nassr agreed all terms. Al Nassr and Bayern Munich have agreed on a transfer deal for Kingsley Coman for around €30 million.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Coman has been given permission by Bayern Munich to travel to Saudi Arabia and complete his medical. Both clubs reached an agreement on a transfer fee of €30 million for the 29-year-old. He will sign a contract with Al Nassr running to 2028 and is reportedly set to earn a net annual salary of more than €20 million. Coman leaves Bayern after contributing 72 goals and 71 assists in 339 games, helping the team win 20 trophies, including nine Bundesliga titles.

The arrival of Luis Diaz at Bayern paved the way for Coman’s departure, with Leroy Sané having left earlier in the transfer market to Galatasaray, as Bayern prepares for a new era with fresh attacking options. Coman now joins a growing list of star names at Al Nassr, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mané, and Marcelo Brozovic.

IMPACT ON BOTH CLUBS

Bayern Munich finished the 2024/25 Bundesliga season as winners, 13 points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen. Coman featured in 28 league matches last season, scoring five goals and providing six assists. This past season, Coman scored nine goals and provided six assists in 45 appearances for Bayern Munich. With his move now complete, Bayern will look to lean on new signings like Diaz and their young talent in the wide positions as they look to reclaim the Bundesliga title.

Al Nassr, meanwhile, finished third in the Saudi Pro League last season, 13 points behind champions Al-Ittihad. The addition of Coman further strengthens their attack as the club aims to close the gap to the top two and challenge for the title in the upcoming campaign. Al Nassr aims to compete for the Saudi Pro League title under new coach Jorge Jesus.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR COMAN AND AL NASSR?

Coman is expected to undergo his medical and complete the signing formalities today. Once officially unveiled, his focus will turn to integrating into his new team and preparing for Al Nassr’s league opener. Al Nassr’s first match of the 2025-26 Saudi Pro League season is against Al Taawoun, who finished sixth last year.

With Coman joining Ronaldo in attack, Al Nassr is hopeful of starting the new season strongly and narrowing the points gap with rivals Al-Ittihad and Al Hilal at the top of the league. Bayern, meanwhile, are preparing for their Bundesliga opener against RB Leipzig, aiming to start the season with the right foot and aim for back to back league titles against an opponent that will be fighting to reach European spots.
