Kylian Mbappé Back in Real Madrid Training Ahead of Important Club World Cup Game

Kylian Mbappé returned to Real Madrid training on Wednesday. His return is timely as the club prepares for a crucial FIFA Club World Cup group stage match against Red Bull Salzburg.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Mbappé missed Real Madrid’s first two matches of the Club World Cup due to gastroenteritis. He lost around 5kg during his illness and was unable to play in the 1-1 draw with Al-Hilal and the 3-1 win over Pachuca. After days of recovery, medical tests showed that he was fit to rejoin the full squad training in Florida. Real Madrid shared images of Mbappé participating in Wednesday’s session, raising hopes for his involvement in the next game against Salzburg.

REAL MADRID’S CLUB WORLD CUP CAMPAIGN SO FAR

Real Madrid are on top of Group H after two matches. They drew their opening game against Al-Hilal, and secured a win over Pachuca to reach four points. They must beat Red Bull Salzburg to guarantee they finish first in the group. A draw will also be enough to advance to the last 16. Their potential opponents in the next round include Manchester City and Juventus.

Mbappé, who has scored 43 goals in 56 appearances since arriving from PSG last year, could play a pivotal role in the remainder of the tournament.

WHAT NEXT FOR MBAPPÉ AND REAL MADRID?

Real Madrid will take on Red Bull Salzburg on Thursday in a high-stakes clash. They will be eager to secure top spot in their group and move forward in the competition. With Mbappé back in training, fans will be hoping he can return to match action quickly and help the team in their quest for another world title.

Real Madrid’s performance in this match will also influence their path in the knockout rounds, where the elite clubs in Europe await.
