Barcelona got good news as top scorer Robert Lewandowski is back from injury for their important Champions League game against Inter Milan. But coach Hansi Flick said the Polish striker might start on the bench because he hasn’t played lately.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Lewandowski hurt his knee in mid-April and missed Barcelona’s last four matches. After recovering, he joined training on Sunday and is now part of the squad traveling to the San Siro. Flick said Lewandowski is “feeling good” and recovered “better than expected.”

But it sounds like Ferran Torres might start as the main striker, with Lewandowski available from the bench if necessary. Lewandowski is fit at the right time, especially since the first leg ended in a 3-3 draw.

LEWANDOWSKI’S IMPACT THIS SEASON

Lewandowski has been important for Barcelona, scoring 40 goals across all competitions this season. His absence was felt, especially when Barcelona gave up their lead to draw 3-3 in the first semi-final game. Having him available, even as a substitute, is a big advantage for Flick and his team.

WHAT’S AT STAKE IN MILAN?

The second leg at the San Siro is crucial, with a place in the Champions League final on May 31 in Munich at stake. Barcelona must win after the first-leg draw. Inter are second in Serie A and have been strong at home this season.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are chasing trophies after missing out in La Liga. They are focused on the Champions League. Their next La Liga match is against Real Sociedad, where Barcelona aim to secure second place and build momentum for a possible final.
