Lille Agree €7m Deal to Sign Félix Correia From Gil Vicente

Lille have made a deal to sign Portuguese winger Félix Correia from Gil Vicente. The transfer fee is reportedly €7 million. The 24-year-old will be the team’s newest player this summer.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Lille have agreed to pay €7 million to get Félix Correia from Gil Vicente. The 24-year-old player did very well last season in Portugal, scoring 10 goals and setting up 5 more in 37 competitions. He is expected to sign a four-year contract with Lille, keeping him there until 2029.

FÉLIX CORREIA’S RISE AND POTENTIAL IMPACT AT LILLE

Correia has gained experience in youth teams at Sporting CP, Manchester City, and Juventus, then showed his talent at Gil Vicente. Last season he helped Gil Vicente finish in the middle of the Liga Portugal table, providing important goals and assists. At Lille, his quickness and creativity will aid an attack full of young players. Lille finished fourth in Ligue 1 last season, earning a spot in the UEFA Europa League, and they want to improve their domestic and European performances.

Gil Vicente will now try to fill the void left by Correia but will benefit from his transfer fee as they prepare for the next season in Portugal’s top league.
