LINCOLN JOINS ALVERCA AFTER FENERBAHÇE SPELL

Lincoln, 26, has officially joined Portuguese club Alverca after leaving Fenerbahçe as a free agent. The deal was completed late on Tuesday, with Lincoln signing a contract set to keep him at the club for two years. Alverca, under the ownership of the Vinicius Group, have added a player with significant experience across Brazil, Turkey, and Europe to strengthen their midfield ahead of the 2025/26 Primeira Liga campaign.

LINCOLN’S RECENT FORM AND WHAT HE BRINGS

During his time at Fenerbahçe, Lincoln made 46 appearances and scored 5 goals, providing 7 assists over two seasons. He was a key part of the squad, though featuring less in their final months. Fenerbahçe finished the 2024/25 Super Lig campaign in second place, missing the title to Galatasaray. Alverca were promoted to the Primeira Liga, and will want to stay in Portugal’s top tier, having one draw and two losses in their first three matches. Lincoln’s creative passing and experience in continental competitions could be crucial for the Portuguese side’s ambitions this season.

LOOKING AHEAD: ALVERCA’S NEXT STEPS

Alverca will be playing this coming weekend against Benfica, who are in the middle of their Champions League playoffs having drawn the first leg against Fenerbahce away from home and playing the second leg at home tonight. Alverca will hope that Lincoln’s arrival will help them bridge the gap to the safety spots. Lincoln is expected to feature right from the start as he joins a squad eager to rise up the standings.
