Liverpool Announce Milos Kerkez as Latest Summer Signing

Liverpool have confirmed the signing of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth for £40 million. He is the club’s third major addition this summer under head coach Arne Slot.

KERKEZ ARRIVES AT ANFIELD

Kerkez, a talented 21-year-old left-back, joins Liverpool on a five-year deal. He had a standout season with Bournemouth and becomes Liverpool’s most expensive full-back ever. Kerkez played in all 38 Premier League games last season, scoring two goals and providing six assists. His strong performances helped Bournemouth secure a mid-table finish.

A previous report confirmed Kerkez’s stats for 2024/25.

LIVERPOOL’S BUSY SUMMER AND SQUAD PLANS

This signing is part of Liverpool’s squad rebuild. Kerkez follows new signings Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz at the club. Liverpool hope to build on last season’s Premier League title win. The club has now spent over £200 million this summer in a statement of intent to rivals. Kerkez is expected to become the new first-choice left-back, with uncertainty around the futures of Andy Robertson and especially, of Kostas Tsimikas. The signing is expected to give Liverpool a more dynamic left flank.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Kerkez’s first taste of action could come in Liverpool’s pre-season friendlies, which will give him a chance to gel with his new teammates. Liverpool begin their Premier League campaign against Bournemouth.

The spotlight is on Kerkez, who will be hoping to live up to his price tag.
