Liverpool Finalize Signing of Giovanni Leoni from Parma

Liverpool have made a deal to sign defender Giovanni Leoni from Parma. The Italian is set for his medical in Merseyside on Thursday. Leoni has already agreed to terms and is eager to join the Premier League side quickly.

The deal is complete with all documents approved. Liverpool agreed to pay Parma around £26 million, potentially up to €30 million including bonuses, as reports suggest that this is the expected fee for Leoni.

Leoni will sign a six-year contract until 2031. The 18-year-old played 17 Serie A matches last season and will join the first team under coach Arne Slot.
