Luis Enrique Dedicates PSG’s Historic Champions League Glory to Late Daughter

Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique gave a heartfelt tribute to his late daughter Xana after his team’s 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League final.

CHAMPIONS AT LAST

PSG finally won the Champions League with a great performance against Inter Milan. The French champions controlled the game, scoring two early goals and adding three more. This win ends PSG’s long quest for European success.

PSG also won the Ligue 1 title and French Cup, completing a treble. Luis Enrique has led the club through changes after Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappé left.

A FATHER’S DEDICATION

After the victory, Luis Enrique spoke about his daughter Xana, who died in 2019 from bone cancer. “Xana is not physically here, but she is always connected to me,” he said.

The coach remembered a special moment with Xana after a Barcelona win. He wanted to do the same at PSG. “My daughter won’t be there physically, but she will be there spiritually,” he said.

KEEPING XANA’S MEMORY ALIVE

Luis Enrique and his family work hard to keep Xana’s memory alive. In a documentary, he talked about displaying photos of Xana in their home.

“Xana isn’t here in the physical sense, but she is in the spiritual sense,” Enrique said. “We talk about her and remember her.”

The family also started the Xana Foundation to help families of sick children. They knew not all families can leave work to support their children.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR PSG?

After winning the treble, PSG wants to build on this success. They must stay strong in French football and become a regular contender in Europe. With Luis Enrique’s leadership, they seem ready for the post-Mbappé era.

PSG’s next task is defending all three titles next season, starting with the French Super Cup in August. They are 15 points ahead in the French league with one match left this season.
