Manchester United Star Garnacho Blasts Team’s Disappointing Season

Alejandro Garnacho didn’t hide his anger after Manchester United lost to Tottenham in the Europa League final on Wednesday. He called the whole season “a mess” in a strong post-game interview.

SEASON TO FORGET

The Argentine winger was very direct when talking about Manchester United‘s poor 2024-25 season after their final loss. “It’s hard for all of us. This season has been a mess,” Garnacho said clearly. “We lost the final, didn’t beat anyone in the Premier League. It’s very hard.” His words show the team’s growing upset after missing another trophy in Bilbao. The loss also means United won’t play in the Champions League next season, adding to their problems.

PERSONAL DISAPPOINTMENT

Garnacho was even more upset because manager Ruben Amorim left him on the bench for the final, even though he started every knockout game before. He only played in the last 20 minutes when United was already losing, which clearly made him sad. The young forward was emotional after the game. He had been one of the few good players for United in a bad season, making it surprising that he didn’t start.

UNCERTAIN FUTURE

Garnacho’s words have made people question if he will stay at Old Trafford. When asked about his future, he said, “I’ll see what happens next,” hinting that he might think about leaving Manchester. His brother also spoke out against Amorim, saying the manager “betrayed Alejandro” by dropping him for the final. Manchester United are 9th in the Premier League with two games left, 32 points behind leaders Arsenal and 12 points away from the top four. They will play Brighton at home this weekend, with the opposing team just two points behind United in 10th place.
