Marc Guehi Responds After Last-Minute Collapse of Liverpool Transfer

Marc Guehi speaks out after his transfer to Liverpool collapsed at the last moment. He makes it clear he is still committed to Crystal Palace.

Marc Guehi almost moved to Liverpool, but the transfer fell apart at the last moment. Regarding the collapsed move, the defender said, “I don’t have much to say, to be honest…I’m focused on playing football and playing for Palace.” He thanked the team’s supporters, adding, “I definitely feel it” when asked about their support. Guehi will now stay and continue playing for the Eagles under manager John Collins.

“I don’t have much to say, to be honest,” he said after the victory. “I don’t read into too much (speculation). I focus on my football. I focus on my day-to-day life and I’m just enjoying playing for Palace. [The internet] is a funny place, that’s why I stay connected to people who have been with me through this whole process, this whole journey. I try and just keep my focus day to day. I have no complaints. I’m grateful for the opportunities that I’ve been given over the years. Yes, I believe I got here on some luck, but also because I work really hard. I’m always focused on what I’m doing in the present moment, that’s all I can do.”
