Marco Asensio Moves Closer to Aston Villa Transfer

Marco Asensio is near joining Aston Villa from Paris Saint-Germain. Both clubs are in final talks for a permanent transfer of the Spanish player.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Aston Villa and Paris Saint-Germain are close to making a deal for Marco Asensio. They just need to agree on the transfer fee. Villa offered €15 million, but PSG wants €20 million. Both teams believe they can reach a deal before the transfer window closes.

Asensio didn’t get much playtime at PSG, but he did well during his loan at Villa. He scored eight goals and provided one assist in 21 games, as confirmed. Villa wants him back and has offered a three-year contract. They need his creativity after failing to score in their first two Premier League games.

EMERY PUSHES FOR ASENSIO REUNION

Unai Emery is eager to sign Asensio, who he values for his skills and ability to change games. After the last spell, Emery praised the Spaniard, who became a fan favorite and boosted the team’s attack.

Asensio faced a tough summer with failed talks with other clubs and limited chances at PSG. Both he and Emery see this reunion as a fresh start. Villa fans are excited about adding a player to a team struggling to score this season.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR ASTON VILLA AND PSG?

Asensio’s move should be completed soon. Aston Villa hopes he can help improve their season after one draw and one loss and no goals so far. Their next game is against Crystal Palace, who have two points and are in 14th place. Villa needs their first points to climb the standings.

For PSG, agreeing on a fee will help them focus on defending their top spot in Ligue 1, where they currently sit first, after winning the league last season with 84 points. Both teams are rushing to finalize the deal before the window closes, as it could greatly impact their seasons.
