Mario Branco, 49, joins Benfica after his time at Fenerbahçe. There, he was General Director and Sporting Director, working with top coaches like Jorge Jesus and José Mourinho. He replaces Lourenço Coelho, who led Benfica to five league titles over seven years. Branco will start on July 14 when the team returns to training.
