Milan Škriniar Prioritises Fenerbahçe Move as Clubs Negotiate Transfer Fee

Milan Škriniar wants to join Fenerbahçe. The Turkish club is close to signing the Slovak defender from Paris Saint-Germain.

NEGOTIATIONS FOR ŠKRINIAR CONTINUE

Fenerbahçe and Paris Saint-Germain are working on a transfer fee for Milan Škriniar. The Turkish club has an agreement with the player. Škriniar, 30, played well on loan at Fenerbahçe last season. This impressed manager José Mourinho. The deal is not done yet, but it could cost about €10 million. The clubs are still discussing payment details. PSG signed Škriniar from Inter Milan a year ago, but he played only five Ligue 1 matches this season. As per reports, Fenerbahçe is in advanced talks to sign Milan Škriniar permanently.

ŠKRINIAR’S IMPACT THIS SEASON

Škriniar played 16 matches for Fenerbahçe during his loan, scoring three goals and providing two assists. He became a key player in defense, with his presence helping Fenerbahçe maintain one of the best defensive records in the Turkish Süper Lig last season. The team finished second in the Turkish league under Mourinho, just behind champions Galatasaray but at a considerable distance to their rivals. Škriniar’s experience was crucial for Mourinho’s defensive plans.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR FENERBAHÇE AND ŠKRINIAR?

An agreement on the transfer fee is expected soon. Fenerbahçe will play in the Champions League next month, with their first match against Alanyaspor, who finished 12th last season. They will aim to beat Galatasaray for the title this season. Keeping Škriniar could be key to their success, especially as Fenerbahçe aims to finalize the Milan Škriniar deal before preseason.
