Milan Škriniar Signs Four-Year Deal With Fenerbahçe

Milan Škriniar has signed with Fenerbahçe from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee expected to be between €10 million and €15 million. The Slovakian defender agreed to a four-year deal and will stay in Istanbul after a successful loan. Škriniar’s move follows that previous loan arrangement.

TRANSFER DETAILS REVEALED

The deal follows his loan from PSG. Sources say the 30-year-old will earn around €7.5 million yearly for four years. PSG gets up to €10 million in the complete package, which is structured to aid both clubs financially. According to reports, Fenerbahçe aims to strengthen their defense with the signing of Milan Škriniar. Škriniar became vital to Fenerbahçe’s defense after joining in January, playing 16 matches and scoring three goals during his loan period.

ŠKRINIAR’S IMPACT AND CLUB CONTEXT

Škriniar moved to Fenerbahçe after limited play at PSG, where he did not secure a regular starting position. He helped them finish second in the Turkish Süper Lig, just behind Galatasaray. With the aid of manager José Mourinho, Škriniar made a strong impression, and Fenerbahçe decided that he should be part of their long-term plans and goals. His presence was key as Fenerbahçe maintained a strong defense last season.

SEASON OUTLOOK FOR FENERBAHÇE

Fenerbahçe will open the Süper Lig next week against Alanyaspor who finished 12th last season with 45 points. Mourinho’s team finished in 2nd place with 84 points, 11 behind champions Galatasaray. Their Super Lig match falls in the middle of their Champions League qualification matches against Feyenoord for a spot in the group stage. The goal this year is to win the title, and with Škriniar on board, Fenerbahçe hopes to secure their defensive line. They also have Champions League qualifiers coming up, where Škriniar’s experience will be vital.
