Monza Sign Kevin Zeroli on Loan from AC Milan for 2025/26 Season
Monza have arranged a deal to sign talented midfielder Kevin Zeroli from AC Milan on loan for the 2025/26 campaign. There is no option to buy in the deal, but the Italian youngster is expected to play a key role at Monza in the year ahead.
WHAT HAPPENED?
The 20-year-old Zeroli, one of Milan’s top young talents, will spend another season at Monza after his loan there for the second half of 2024/25 ended last month. AC Milan and Monza quickly agreed on a new deal to give Zeroli more first-team experience in Serie B next season. The agreement is a straight loan, meaning Monza will not have the right to purchase the player at the end of the campaign, and Zeroli will return to Milan. His contract with Milan runs until June 2028, so the club sees him as an important part of their project.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Zeroli struggled in youth football while at Milan’s Next Gen team, but showed promise during his initial loan at Monza last season. Although Monza were relegated to Serie B, they provided a platform for the midfielder to play regular senior football. Monza badly need a playmaker this summer, with several midfielders having departed, and Zeroli’s skills make him an attractive option for the role. Milan believe the move is also necessary, with the club’s coaches hoping he will develop and mature between now and summer 2026, when Zeroli is likely to return and compete for a place in the senior squad.
WHAT NEXT FOR MONZA?
Monza begin their Serie B campaign next month. They are desperate to return to the top flight, having finished 19th last season. They are expected to make a series of signings, but hope talents like Zeroli will allow them to push for promotion.
