Moses Simon Completes Paris FC Medical Ahead of €7 Million Move

Nigerian winger Moses Simon is close to joining Paris FC. He completed his medical examination after a €7 million deal was agreed with FC Nantes. The 29-year-old is set to sign a three-year contract with the newly promoted Ligue 1 club, bringing top-flight experience and attacking talent.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Moses Simon completed his medical at Paris FC on June 24. The club and Nantes agreed on a €7 million transfer fee. The Nigerian international will officially join the newly promoted club once the paperwork is done. Simon will be regarded as the club’s first major signing of the window. His signing is crucial after beating off competition from Marseille and several Premier League clubs.

He had been on the radar of a number of clubs, including Juventus, but it is Paris FC who have roped him in. Simon enjoyed a standout 2024/25 season, scoring eight goals and providing 12 assists in 45 appearances and is seen as a marquee signing that the Paris FC fans were hoping for.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Simon’s arrival comes as Paris FC prepares for a difficult first season back in Ligue 1. Last season, the club was promoted from Ligue 2 and will now attempt to build themselves among France’s best. The Nigerian international will bring a wealth of experience from his time at Nantes, where he won the Coupe de France in 2022. Over the last six seasons, he has made 230 appearances in all competitions for Nantes.

His pace, originality, and leadership abilities are highly valued. In the 2025/26 season, the freshly promoted club would require both goals and know-how, and Simon is a trustworthy option to avoid the danger of relegation.

WHAT NEXT FOR SIMON AND PARIS FC?

Moses Simon is expected to ink a €300,000 monthly contract with Paris FC until June 2028. The move will be formalized in the coming days. For the time being, Simon will place all of his objectives with Paris FC, and he must complete all paperwork and formalities in order to complete the transaction. Simon will seek to fill the hole created by Percy Tau, who has been identified as the favourite to join French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain. Paris FC will answer on Simon’s excellent performance and influential leadership once the move is completed.

The French club made an exciting comeback to Ligue 1 and will look to strengthen their squad further. Paris FC is expected to enter the market for some excellent signings. They will kick off their Ligue 1 campaign against defending champion Paris Saint-Germain on August 2.
