Nico Jackson’s Move to Bayern Munich Put on Hold After Chelsea Change Course

Nico Jackson’s move to Bayern Munich has been paused. Chelsea suddenly stopped his transfer even though the striker is in Germany for a medical.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Bayern were set to get Jackson on loan from Chelsea. They agreed to pay a €15 million loan fee and the option to buy would have cost up to €80 million. Jackson was in Munich, but Chelsea stopped everything after Liam Delap injured his hamstring. Delap’s injury made Chelsea want to keep Jackson.

WHY THIS MATTERS FOR BOTH CLUBS

Bayern need a proven striker after finishing second in the league. They are serious about winning the league and hope Jackson can quickly help improve their attack. Chelsea are dealing with injuries to their strikers and had no central options with Delap and Cole Palmer sidelined. Jackson was with the first team when Delap was injured.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Jackson is returning to London. He is expected to rejoin the Chelsea squad as the club consider their options. Chelsea is currently in a strong position in the Premier League, having collected seven points from three matches, and they remain open to offers for Jackson, with interest from other clubs as well.
