Noni Madueke Signs for Arsenal Until 2030
Noni Madueke has joined Arsenal with a contract lasting until June 2030. The English winger moves from Chelsea in a deal to be announced soon.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Madueke, 23, will join Arsenal after they agreed to pay Chelsea a transfer fee of £48 million, possibly rising to £52 million with add-ons. He left Chelsea’s camp at the FIFA Club World Cup to complete his medical and finalize terms with Arsenal. Arsenal wanted to add more attacking options and chose Madueke for his ability to play on both flanks. He prefers the right wing, but that’s already taken by Bukayo Saka. As reported, Arsenal paid an initial fee of £48 million plus £4 million in add-ons for Madueke.
ARSENAL AND MADUEKE: THE 2024/25 SEASON SO FAR
Last season, Madueke played 46 games for Chelsea in all competitions, scoring 11 goals and making five assists. He helped Chelsea win the Conference League, starting in the final against Real Betis. Most of his minutes were on the right, but Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes Madueke can become a threat on the left, too. Arsenal finished the Premier League season in second place, only behind Liverpool, with a total of 70 points, as confirmed by reliable sources.
WHAT COMES NEXT FOR ARSENAL AND CHELSEA?
With Madueke’s arrival, Arsenal now have one of the league’s most exciting attacking setups. The move may lead to changes, especially on the wings. Chelsea are reorganizing their squad after finishing fourth last season, guaranteeing Champions League qualification. They have already signed forwards Liam Delap and Joao Pedro to replace outgoing players. Arsenal and Chelsea both want a strong start to the new season. Arsenal are aiming for their first title in over 20 years, and Chelsea want to get back in the title race after falling short last season. Arsenal fans are eager to see Madueke play soon.
