PSV Eindhoven Win Eredivisie Title for 26th Time After Thrilling Season

PSV Eindhoven won their 26th Eredivisie title by beating Sparta Rotterdam 3-1. It was a nail-biting final day in one of the most exciting title races in Dutch football.

WHAT HAPPENED?

PSV were crowned Dutch champions with a 3-1 victory over Sparta. Ivan Perisic put PSV ahead, but Sparta tied the game through Gjivai Zechiël. Luuk de Jong restored PSV’s advantage after the restart, and Malik Tillman scored again late on to secure the win.

PSV finished with 79 points, one more than rivals Ajax. Ajax had been nine points clear at the top with five games remaining but faltered, allowing PSV to snatch the title from their bitter rivals.
