Real Madrid Secure Victory with Second Straight Win in Champions League

Real Madrid have won two games in a row in the Champions League after another good performance away to Kairat Almaty. The Spanish side are now top of their group and have a perfect record in Europe this season.

WHAT HAPPENED IN KAZAKHSTAN?

Real Madrid were away to Kairat Almaty on 30 September 2025, and were again too good for their opponents. They recorded another win, giving them two victories from two matches in the group. They are now top of the group ahead of the 3rd match, where they host Juventus.

Vinícius Junior scored Madrid’s first goal, cutting onto his right foot outside the box, before curling home into the top corner. The second half saw Antonio Rüdiger make it two as he poked home a Dani Carvajal flick-on from Arda Güler’s corner. Vinícius made it three with another beauty from distance into the top corner, from Aurélien Tchouaméni’s pass. Then, it was four when Brahim Diaz struck from just outside the box.

TEAM AND PLAYER FORM SO FAR

Madrid have dropped points in recent games, but are otherwise in hot form. The team are closing in on the round of 16 in the Champions League, and are currently second in La Liga one point behind. In the league, Los Blancos have struggled to score goals, but can still win games 0-1, as they did against Celta Vigo.

Madrid’s stars have all been willing to contribute over the past few weeks. Vinícius has been out of form, but nonetheless in the goals. Captain Rüdiger has rebuffed every attack that has come his way with interest, while Brahim Diaz continues to impress on the big stage with key goals. Jude Bellingham, who scored 15 goals and made 15 assists last season in 58 games, is expected to play a critical role moving forward.

WHAT’S NEXT FOR REAL MADRID?

Madrid have a tricky schedule ahead, with La Liga games against Villarreal before the international break, in a match between the 2nd and 3rd placed teams in La Liga, with two points between them.

They may be sweating on a major injury to Brahim, who needed treatment after scoring the fourth goal, while Rüdiger took a heavy knock. Vinícius will also look to add to his goal tally, after finishing as the team’s top scorer last season, along with everything else. Apart from Jude Bellingham they have a settled starting XI, and they do not look like losing any time soon.
