Roma Close In on Wesley Signing After Player Reaches Agreement

AS Roma are close to signing Flamengo defender Wesley Franca. The player has agreed to join. Roma only need to agree on a transfer fee with Flamengo. Flamengo want more money than Roma are currently offering.

According to a previous report, AS Roma offered around €25 million for Wesley, which is below Flamengo’s asking price of €30 million.

Wesley Franca agreed to join Roma after they offered him a five-year contract. They are in talks to finalize the transfer fee, as Flamengo are holding out for more money. Wesley’s move to Rome was helped by the appointment of Andrea Pirlo as manager. The Italian saw Wesley as a top target and urged the club to sign him. Flamengo sit in front in the Brazilian Serie A table but are level on points with Palmeiras. The club is eager to mitigate risk and is willing to hear out suitors.
