Tottenham Close to Agreeing Personal Terms with Kolo Muani

Tottenham Hotspur are about to agree on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani. Talks between the two clubs continue as they try to make a late summer transfer happen. According to reports, Tottenham is looking to strengthen their attack before the Premier League transfer window closes.

WHAT HAPPENED?

There have been a lot of talks between the two sides on transfer deadline day. Tottenham want to sign Kolo Muani to improve their attack. The 26-year-old was close to joining Spurs in January but decided to stay at PSG. Now, with time running out, Spurs are trying again. They have almost agreed personal terms with him. PSG wants an obligation to buy and won’t accept a loan deal; they have been open to letting Kolo Muani leave following his reduced role under coach Luis Enrique. They are still discussing the deal, but Juventus are not in the race anymore, so Spurs are his only option.

TOTTENHAM’S SEASON SO FAR

Spurs are 3rd in the Premier League. Injuries have hurt them, with James Maddison out for most of the year. They recently signed Xavi Simons, who they brought in for €60 million to help with creativity in midfield. But they still need more attacking threat up front. Head coach Thomas Frank, who joined last month, wants Kolo Muani’s pace and movement to push them towards the top four. PSG, meanwhile, are doing well, top of Ligue 1. But Kolo Muani has struggled for starts, with 5 goals and 2 assists in 20 league games.

WHAT’S NEXT?

There is not much time left in the transfer window. All focus will be on whether Spurs get the deal done. They face West Ham next, who have just won their first match of the season, just three points behind them. It is a key game in the race for Europe. If Kolo Muani joins, he could play against West Ham and become a key player as Spurs look to cut the three-point gap to leaders Liverpool. PSG will continue with their focus on retaining the domestic title and their Champions League run.
