Tottenham Step up Pursuit of Mohammed Kudus Amid Intense Transfer Race

Tottenham Hotspur are talking to Mohammed Kudus. They want to sign the West Ham United forward this summer. Kudus is open to moving, and talks are on with his representatives as well as West Ham. Two other clubs are keen to sign him as well.

According to a previous report, Mohammed Kudus is open to joining Tottenham.

WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH KUDUS?

Tottenham have identified Kudus as their top priority. The club is working on terms with him and is getting positive responses from the player’s representatives. Kudus is also keen to join Spurs, which is viewed as a massive boost for Thomas Frank. Sources have also informed that Tottenham are trying to reduce the Hammers’ asking price by exploring the option of including midfielder Yves Bissouma in the deal.

According to a previous report, Tottenham want to sign Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United.

TOTENHAM AND WEST HAM: SEASON OVERVIEW

Spurs finished 17th in the Premier League last season, qualifying for the Champions League by winning the Europa League. Kudus, meanwhile, had seven goals and four assists in 31 league appearances for West Ham as the Hammers ended ninth. However, they need to sell players to comply with Premier League financial rules. This means Kudus’ transfer to Tottenham looks a real possibility. Spurs next face AS Roma in their preseason before the new campaign begins.

According to a previous report, Tottenham finished the 2024/25 Premier League campaign in fifth place.

Additionally, a previous report confirmed that West Ham finished ninth in the 2024/25 season.

WHAT COMES NEXT?

Tottenham will have to fend off interest from other clubs to secure the services of Kudus. If they can negotiate an agreement with the player and West Ham before other interested parties do, they can seal the deal. Kudus was believed to be a target for Thomas Frank last summer too, and hence the manager will want to add him to his squad this time.
