Trabzonspor Make Move for Ismaël Bennacer as Midfielder Weighs Future

Trabzonspor have made an offer to sign Ismaël Bennacer. However, the midfielder isn’t ready to decide yet. He will consider his options before agreeing to anything.

TRABZONSPOR’S OFFER TO BENNACER

Trabzonspor have approached AC Milan to sign Algerian midfielder Ismaël Bennacer. The 27-year-old recently returned to Milan from a loan at Marseille. Bennacer is looking for a new club after things didn’t work out in France. Earlier this summer, Bennacer rejected a €20 million offer from Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia. Now, Trabzonspor’s offer stands out as one of the few opportunities available. Milan are eager to sell, but Bennacer is taking his time. He’s considering possible offers from other clubs and leagues, as his future at AC Milan remains uncertain.

BENNACER’S CAREER THIS SEASON AND CLUB SITUATION

It’s been a difficult year for Bennacer. He made only seven appearances for AC Milan before being loaned to Marseille. Injuries and team changes limited his time on the field even more. Marseille refused to pay the agreed purchase fee, so Bennacer came back to Milan. Milan’s new coach, Massimiliano Allegri, decided not to count on Bennacer for the upcoming season. Last season, AC Milan missed out on European competitions, finishing 8th in Serie A, and now they are trying to rebuild their team. Trabzonspor, on the other hand, finished lower than expected in the Turkish Süper Lig, missing European qualification.

WHAT’S AHEAD FOR BENNACER AND THE CLUBS?

As negotiations continue, Bennacer and his representatives aren’t ruling out waiting until the end of the transfer window for more offers. Milan want to finalize his sale quickly so they can invest in new signings. Trabzonspor’s next league game is against Samsunspor. The teams are separated by five spots in the early table. Milan will continie their Serie A campaign this weekend against Lecce after losing the opener to Cremonese at home. The club is under pressure to sort out Bennacer’s future soon.
