Victor Lindelöf Joins Aston Villa on Two-Year Deal

Aston Villa have signed Swedish player Victor Lindelöf on a two-year contract. They have an option to extend it until June 2028. Lindelöf returns to the Premier League after being released by Manchester United at the end of last season, as he is currently a free agent following his exit from the club.

Lindelöf brings valuable experience to Aston Villa. He is the captain of the Sweden national team and has 71 caps. Lindelöf can offer leadership and consistency to Villa’s defence. Last season at Manchester United, he played in 32 matches across all competitions. His ability to stay calm under pressure and his understanding of the game will give Villa more options in central defence.
