The former Liverpool star turned down teams across Europe in order to return to England, with Henderson hoping playing in the Premier League boosts his chances of being involved at the World Cup next year. He will replace Nørgaard, who joined Arsenal. Official confirmation of the move is expected next week, with scheduling pushed back out of respect for former team-mate Diogo Jota’s death earlier this week.
